Actually the best way is to build a wall one level beneath. Both floors and bridges on the same level disturb the silk. I started doing this in last year I uploaded.

Well, for some reason, up near the surface, I had a temporary farm under an overhang. After I removed the farms, tower caps and plants started spontaneously growing. I had assumed this would work again. So now I'm baffled as to why it worked near the surface.

Buckets! I always forget about ponds filled by buckets. Thanks.

@Doppel- Well when you see it escape and wipe out my fortress you'll know what not to do. Heh, I'm hoping to make a way where I don't have to reload the spider into cage traps all the time. We'll see.

Heh, yeah. That doesn't even include that each dwarf has a green glass box and cabinet, all of the tables/chairs, the hundreds of serrated discs, or that I have created tons of raw green glass to cut and decorate my exported clothing.

Thanks. There will be MUCH more glass. I think I'm pushing 3000 blocks.

@Dakira: Crazy eh? He had enough brain damage that he couldn't finish drinking before passing out unconscious. I saw canceled drink tasks for a long time before he died.

Good god, are those all ant hills in the top of the magma pipe? You have a crazy infestation of fire ants!

Yeah, I love using the magma drop method for disposing of stone.

I didn't want to make the entrance that way but the dwarves did it while I wasn't looking (hehe... completely intentional to the point that I had it planned from the moment I embarked... reason for the name).

The tileset is Guybrush 1280x400, got it from the DF Wiki.

I'm retiring this one. Just a little bored of it. Just let me know where to send it.

The water for the moat and the waterfall come from the aquifer. For the moat, I pumped it out and then closed the floodgate. The waterfall gets pumped from the aquifer then runs back into it.

Sure Sukasa. I'll hand it over when I'm done. Do you want me to abandon, succumb to an invasion, or just hand it to you functioning?

That's amazing. I can't wait to see what you do with the chasm. Looks like you have this thought out years in advance.
