This is the first map on the new version where I've started mining adamantine so I have no idea if it's normal or a fluke. Maybe something to do with the mountains rising up steeply on the edge of the map? Though that's only another 10 or so levels... Either way the world was generated from the standard large island setting with no modifications.

I neglected to check before starting, or even to make a note of the name of the dark fortress, but I copied/abandoned and poked around a bit and I think I found it. As far as I can tell, it was repeatedly subject to attacks by hydras and bronze colossi in the first century. Hopefully in the millennium since then they've moved on...

Hah, I just noticed that around 8 seconds you can see a piece of goblin fly off and bloody the ramp to the northeast of the arena. It was the right upper leg from the guard, and it had enough hang time that the guard was dead and the champion was well into hacking another goblin across the screen before it landed.

At 11 seconds you see another one, north of where the goblin was killed against the north wall, and then at 12 the final goblin's entire lower body falls to the east of the arena.

None of the body parts landed on the current level, so after they pass through you can only see them from the red coloring of the ground below.

Haha man, if the titan had just gone after the hammerer first your plan probably would have succeeded.

Aside from a full kit for a future adventurer, I'm not really sure yet. My military doesn't really seem to need upgraded items, as they can take care of goblins pretty well, well enough to break sieges at least (although due to my lack of forward-thinking siege planning, it's a pain in the ass). I may do some stuff for them anyway, though; it seems the most obvious use.

A few random bits of furniture have occurred to me, such as a door for the treasury vault and a statue or two. Beyond that I'm open to suggestions.

I'm guessing it was with well-timed raising of the drawbridge during a siege... or poorly-timed raising of the drawbridge during regular work, heh.

I love the collision with the tree. The splatter flying off is great.

The initial hail of bolts is hilarious. The goblins are carefully inching closer and then they just get mowed down. It looks like you had a dwarven minigunner up there or something.

Yeah, I really enjoy terrain like this. The fractal-y path the cliff face takes makes it much more interesting than flat plains or rolling hills. And boy does this have a lot of cliff faces in terms of linear feet (dwarf-units?).
