Oh yeah I planned to make a fancy office above the depot for the broker. It will help him by having all the items nearby and to make deals with elves by throwing goblins on top of them.
With the low amount of dwarfs right now it's hard to finish the house/tombs before they die so the office won't be done for a while.
Heh, don't worry, I'll join you guys one day! This fort is like 2 month old and I do really want to finish it.
I'd like to piss off the humans and go to war soon. I also want to one day use the bloody ballistic to destroy an siege. The last goblin siege had my operator sleeping and by the time he got up my lone crossbow dwarf had made them retreat anyway.
I'm not sure really. I'm gonna build lots of apartments for every type of dwarf and noble rooms will take up alot of room since I plan on getting most of them.
I've got alot of time to work on this and I can delay getting the new version if it comes out soon.
Yeah, I got lucky. I was prepared to wait the siege out but then noticed the troll was taking out the main hallways door. I thought he'd just walk into the stone traps but suddenly he had walked away the main hallway and ran towards the floodgate.
Spent a couple minutes in pause wondering if I wanted to continue with the front of the fort covered in water.
Just to make sure everything thing is correct I pretty much build a smaller "U" shape channel at the bottom of the "U" with floodgates at the end but the last floodgate isn't connected to the magma channel?
The magma will flow out the new magma channel and flood a closed off area back into the magma channel with the the permaflood canceling each other out?
Can I just hook both floodgates to the same lever or does the magma going down the channel have to keep moving. I wanna save that iron ore close by so I just build another channel blocking off towards that direction?
Wouldn't I have to sacrifice a dwarf to dig to the magma flood to make a antiflood loop? Though I do enjoy there deaths I don't want to do it on purpose. I'll step up something like yours for the next update and you can tell me if it's gonna work okay?

Thanks. You can see how I didn't understand how the aqueducts worked. The magma was there because I wanted a picture before it became too deep.
I really wanted to keep working on the fort but 150 dwarfs was slowing me down to much and I really wanted to visit it in adventure mode later.

Nah, I don't like the idea of it. The river was dug out for towercaps, shrubs and cobwebs. I used that small area near all the barrels for the farm.

Ah, well it doesn't matter now since my save won't load and crashes. =(

Your fort looks awesome. Did you plan to dig out the whole castle beforehand?
Now I got to try and make a castle next time. =)
