Wow I'm impressed! I'm snatching the seed to play around with the map myself :)
OH and I just learned the 'miasma doesn't go diagonally' trick. :) Empty barrels stored above. I arranged quite a lot of things for 'easy visual idea of amounts'.
I like your tiles -- I think how a floor interacts with a angled wall looks a little odd, but I don't know how to fix it. I like your fortdesign too.
It's gonna be something like a skyscraper cluster. :) Mostly it's been a trial-and-error learn about obsidian cooling project so far. And yeah, pumping from one level up worked pretty well.

re: the patches of sand, apparently when you build a construction on the layer of rock directly under the ice layers, and then deconstruct it, the floor isn't rock but a random soil type. It's a bug. :( Enjoy the glass in this version though ;-)
=O I play with a tileset/different color settings. So the "ground" is a bit more uniform looking, the grey dots stood out.
