A young sea fort. The dwarves are still living in a temporary cave, but with the completion of the great dining dome, the city is beginning to shape up.
All of the stone for the dome, minus the kimberlite, was mined out of the rocks around here. And since most of the dome was obsidian...
This cave here was created when we hit a seam of obsidian, and just followed it. It's gotten f*&^ing huge, but saddly has only yeilded two units aluminum, and six gems. But it has yielded a ton of obsidian. I'm thinking, once we completely carve it out, that I'll smooth the stone and turn it into a cathedral. We need some underground components, in this most undwarvenly city on the waves

It does, I just can't remember how to get the picture from 3dwarf to here, otherwise I'd post it

Um, wow. I glanced at this before, but now that I look closer it really is quite amazing. Good job.
That entrance alone deserves a thumbs up.

My eyes go funny looking at the top down view of the dome... like its bending space and time or something. *blinks repeatidly*

I think that's because it SHOULD be perfectly circular, but it's not because of the image setup, and the fact that I can't seem to get alternate tilesets working.

Wow, quite amazing... except for one thing... isn't your pump stopping lever *outside* the enterance?

It is, but I'm building the central lever building in the dome. At the moment, I just had the lever there when I was building the entrance
