Map Description:

First fort to get King/Queen arrival. Fairly plain and utilitarian.

Point of Interest: Speardwarf Lodge

I attempted to herd all my (potential) speardwarves in this one room. Limited success as I had to keep forbidding/unforbidding the food and drink stockpiles and random people kept getting in. Hopefully the new military changes after 40d will solve this. - tiresius

Wall outside on east portion of map was an ambusher/seige baffle (limited success) since the map is so small, and just something in general to wrap the road around (didn't like the look of a big thick parking lot).

Δ 16. Sunlight rehab center
My dwarves were puking all over the place and being stunned outdoors so I decided to make them go cold turkey and built a lovely statue garden in the sun. The place was covered in green and disgusting for a season or two, but eventually it cleared up. It has fortifications above so any marksdwarves can be drafted and sent up there. - tiresius
Δ 13. Obsidian Farm
This is an obsidian farm, poorly designed because it pulled magma away from my forges. This caused them to blink out of fire when I was doing it. I learned my lesson for next fort! - tiresius
Δ 13. Philospher's Room
Put a small maze (was originally going to be a drowning chamber for goblins) and some masterwork engravings in for my philospher to "wander and ponder". Seems happy enough, despite him having a floodgate for a wall. - tiresius
Δ 11. Queen's Throne Room
Just a masterwork throne surrounded by statues. Masterwork engravings put this room into the stratosphere for quality according to the queen.

Δ 11. Queen/Consort Dining Room
Artifact table/chair for the queen. Queen's guard (consort) was at the southern end of the hall. They didn't seem to mind not seeing each other eat. Maybe she was a pig with the food. :)
Nobles tables on the western wall. - tiresius
Δ 11. Section 8 Rental facility
Low income housing with a door, bed, and storage unit. Affordable and convenient, but doesn't look great. - tiresius
