Galleymaster - 105 Late Spring by Salmeuk

Map Description:

Beginning of 3rd year. I got a lot done this past year, such as mining out the main fortress and completing the entrances. Total population is about 60, with a 15 strong completely inexperienced military. No ambushes yet, except for a couple kobolds.

I'm interested on how awesome this fort will turn out. Any plans to build the dwarven "Golden Gate" to cross the ocean?

I might add a bridge later on, with the nobles situated in the middle. The tunnel works out nicely for now, though the whole fortress is quite inefficient.

Entrance is from underground, so it is quite secure.

Needed one to rid the fortress of unsightly rock, and forgot to plan one out. This will do for now. - Salmeuk

I have yet to vacate the clothier from this place, but for the most part this place is a ghost town. I haven't set up the stockpiles yet in the other fortress, so this leather and cloth has to sit here at the mercy of kobold thieves. - Salmeuk

Rooms for most of my dwarfs. That blue rock is a vein of cobaltite. - Salmeuk
Δ 11. Extra Storage
Just a series of universal storage rooms. Yet to be functional as the stone takes up the space. I have a couple workshops churning out furniture and goods for the fortress. - Salmeuk
Δ 10. Workshops
My workshop level, with nothing set up yet. Each series of rooms is tailor made to a certain industry, such as weaving, metalsmithing, and masonry. Represents the bottom limits of my fortress for now, though I have the central staircase going all the way down, maybe 5 or 6 more z-levels. - Salmeuk
