A fort where I attempted a large number of engineering projects.

Point of Interest: Water trap

This long channel was an experiment to see if I could make a "parting of the seas" type trap. What I learned is that it's better to fill with pumps and drain with gravity, instead of the other way around. It doesn't fill fast enough to be an effective trap. - InquisitorSaturn

Δ 17. Magmaduct
This was a trough used to transfer the magma to the middle of the lake. After that was done, it was retooled as a way to get magma into the Great Forge. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 17. Windmills
Windmills here were the power source for the magmaduct. Providing only 20 power each, it required a lot of them. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 16. Old Entrance Battlesite
Here, several battles took place. The most losses were Elves(with whom the dwarfs are at war), and humans who sieged after their trade baron died. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 16. Perpetual Motion Device
This was the power source for the pumps when draining the area for the water trap. It later fell into disuse because it destroys too much water. - InquisitorSaturn

Δ 15. Human Trader Deathsite
Here, the human trade baron fell and died after standing on a floor tile that was being removed, leading to two sieges before the humans forgave them. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 15. The Old Fortress
This was the place my Dwarves lived while the magmaduct system was being built. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 13. Old Graves
Those who died before the new fortress was complete. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 12. Lowest Pumps
These pumps were put in place to move magma from the lower level to the pumps higher up, so that the foundation of the new fortress would be large enough. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 11. The Great Forge
This is the place where the furnaces and forges go. Do build a new magma-powered workshop, all I have to do is punch a hole in the floor. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ 10. The Underforge
Here, civilians are melted down and soldiers are cast from their mold. - InquisitorSaturn
Δ Catacombs
This shall be the resting place of all the dwarfs who die here. - InquisitorSaturn
