This map started with only the brook and and a few small pools. I wanted to see what it would take to create a reservoir. It turned out to be far more difficult that I thought to generate enough water to flood the area.
Water is piped in through the aquaduct over a series of floor hatches. The floor hatches are tied into a pressure plate that opens when the water gets to a volume of 4. The gates open and the water falls and pass through the grates.
If I had to do this again I would create 1 extra z level below where the water could fall. I had the exit pumps fail a few times which caused flooding. The over abundance of doors throughout the complex was to reduce the effects of any flooding. - Zaltanek
