Woundspeak - 111 Late Spring by Dakira

Map Description:

Woundspeak: The glass and Basalt ghost town.

The city seems to have calmed down enough for people to stop killing each other. I figured now would be a good time to show the devastation before I lose it all and have to reclaim it.

In the last update, the city had 97 dwarves after losing 16 at the beginning of the madness. Now the city has only 21. In less than a season, the city's population had dropped from 113 to 21. And it all started with the death of a child and one very upset planter.

Point of Interest: Falling down

This was a popular spot for people to land when jumping off of buildings to commit suicide. Perhaps they were just looking for peace in this maddened city. - Dakira

Are those green glass buildings?

Yep! Anything green is green glass.

You should make some ships for the dock. Pirate ships

Sounds like plan after the city is complete.

In room 306, that was the tax collector's office. So i'm going to say he was brutally murdered.

Wow, quite a nice tantrum spiral (and fort)!

Thanks! everything seems to have calmed down now. over 100 died in less than a season and immigrants are taking detours around the island. They think it's cursed, and right now I don't blame them, heheh.

Wow.. that's quite an awesome story.

If you reclaim it, possessions will take on a whole new level of meaning, huh?

You have to write a story about this fort!

Please. Do it on the forums!

Well then I'll have to get to that story sometime. If you'd like to read one of my older stories on the forums, check out "The legend of the Cursed River".

I forgot to add this in during upload, but a pump operator died while operating a pump. He suddenly "Collided with an Object", so I think he caught his foot and was dragged into the pump.

Awwwww, this is gone? =(

It's quite a beautiful city. Incredibly well-made. Well done.

Great fortress, one of my old favorites when I lurked the site. I know now what a mirthless pain it is to create things like this, so kudos on finishing this awesome fortress.
