Acearrow - 314 Mid Autumn by Unbeltedsundew

Map Description:

A really nice start area but the map was just a bit too large for me (3x8 I think) and was running really slowly, there was a cave river here and HFS neither of which I got to. In the end it was more about experiments, then a real fortress.

Point of Interest: New Highway

This highway I like a lot more then the other one. Its simple and sleek. This is pretty much its final structural form, except for the channel on the level below being filled with water instead of dead liasons. - Unbeltedsundew

That's a nice room, and interesting about the free cabinets.

I like the wagon landing monument idea. The Pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock. The Claspstrokes of Gilding would probably just land on the Pudding of Cloisters or something though.

¶ 19. Awful mess
My entrance turned out to be a god awful mess of crappy design and sillyness. The bridge to nowhere took forever to build and is somthing like 200 tiles long. - Unbeltedsundew
Δ 18. Embassy/Trade house
I was going to build a trader depot here and make this complex into an embassy but I totally hated how it turned out and so ignored it for the most part. - Unbeltedsundew

This was an idea I really liked, I think Im going to mark all future forts like this. MAybe with the year. - Unbeltedsundew
Δ 15. New Highway

Δ 13. Highway
I wanted to make a highway and a raised highway as a main artery. The center would have been channeld except some pillars for structure and then the sides on this level would be channeled as well. There was going to be a stream running down the center of the road below. - Unbeltedsundew
Δ 12. The Library
I used all wooden cabinets for the shelves. What was intresting is that the dwarfs seemed to be useing them in lieu of actually owning any of their own. The little round area was going to be a terraced section with reading desks. - Unbeltedsundew
Δ 10. Masonry and Stone Silo

I never really got around to organizing the stone and clearing out the old stuff though. But it was a learning expereince and the idea really is top notch. Next time my design will be a lot more efficent. - Unbeltedsundew
Δ 9. The Archives
A bunch of storage for the record keeper. In total I think there would've been like 96 cabinets in this office (the doors are set as internal). I built this and gave it to the record keeper and it really upset my mayor, lol.

On the other side of the library there was going to be a lecture hall. - Unbeltedsundew
