Gearriddle - 102 Late Winter by Hellzon

Map Description:

Figured I'd go for a fortress with a chasm and river for once. No magma, except for the buggy magma that spawned over the chasm at the start and erupted all around.

Now the fortress is in the second year, and awaiting some very angry humans.

Point of Interest: Experimental underground forest.

The map is centered on the floodgate that lets water inside the farm rooms. The tile to its right is a fortification, which should keep the woodcutters safe.

Since the floodgate is at the bottom of a pillar of water, the rooms filled up very fast. They're draining much slower... - Hellzon

If this works, the war dogs will spot any kobold thieves passing below the grates, which is the only way into the fortress. - Hellzon

Turned out one would have been sufficient to run the millstones at the bottom of the shaft, but hey, I didn't know windmills generated 40 power on this map. - Hellzon

...with a pit of doom next to it. Track it downwards and you'll see that everything has to pass the barracks before entering the fortress proper. - Hellzon
Δ 19. Dungeon
Houses coffins, the Sheriff, and will house any luxurious tombs and the Hammerer when needed. Used to be the temporary fort while I carved out bigger areas below. - Hellzon

Seems my marksdwarves are taking potshots at the river inhabitants. - Hellzon
