Doorswallow - 305 Late Winter by Maisoul

Map Description:

New version, new world, new fortress.

Well, new world, three new fortresses lost to pike and other assorted nastiness, new fortress that managed to survive the first year.

The area settled is rather warm; isolated pools all dried up shortly after summer hit, and ice only forms for a short while in winter. Located on what is probably a grassland or plain, the wildlife mostly consists of groundhogs, horses, and the occasional obligatory swarm of thieves; rhesus macaques.

Point of Interest: Moat, and the beginnings of a wall

Shortly after construction began, the moat was dug - as we have a proper river, rather than a brook, I used that to cover two sides of the fortress, and simply dug a channel for the other two sides.

As the river freezes over for even an admittedly-short length of time, though, a wall's being built to protect the fortress during winter. So much for that plan. - Maisoul

Uhh... no.
Not intentionally, anyway. I only noticed it was formed in that pattern after it was dug out. It's not actually oriented in the same direction as that symbol, making it something sorta-different... but that was just luck, really.

The Nazi movement stole their symbol from Sanskrit. Also, did you know there's a place in Ontario named 'Swastika'? Hei- uh... yay, Wikipedia.
