Undercity the Granite Citadel - 1052 by Mechanoid

Map Description:

With the new release so soon to be finished, and the improvements it will give to placing constructions, i have decided to stop working on this fortress and upload it. It's nowhere near the level of completion i would've wanted, but hey, placing those damn floor tiles one-by-one takes a while, even with the blocks on-tile.

Point of Interest: Natural flood area

If this area had existed in the soon to be July 08 update, every timed it rained, the murky puddle that made up the pond floor would gradually re-flood this area with water. - Mechanoid

Δ 17. Workshops A
What's there to say? Workshops, smelters, and forges. The only thing important would be that the 10 forges are all using on-site made steel anvils, and that the original iron anvil was sold off to the traders, for plump helmets, fishes, cheese, and wood.
I had also brought a large number of ores i did not expect to find on-site with me, from the startup menu, to stop a dwarf from getting his neck broken when a insane demand could not be met (there is no copper, gold, or nickel on this map, among others which are absent) so i used the bismuth bars on the various workshops. - Mechanoid

Blocks and crafts, 24/7

I had erroniously taken graphite stone with me initially, instead of granite. I only noticed this after i had finished making them into blocks; so these workshops got the graphite. - Mechanoid

Lovely, isn't it?
In a dream world, a stupid administrator walked right up to the lakes' edge after it had been drained into this mined-out magnetite vein. He was then gang-banged by several snakemen. Woodcutters were assigned as axedwarves to rescue the idiot administrator, but far too late; the administrator died of his wounds as the axedwarves had fought off half the slithering bastards.

Moments later 50 dwarves tantrumed simultaniously as they telepathically learnt of the death of their comrade, because the dreamer had accidentally left their starting wagon untouched, letting them get these things called "friendships" early on.

Thankfully it was just a dream world, and not the real one. However, lesson learned, the entrance was sealed with steel bars. - Mechanoid
Δ 9. Building Complex, Roof
This was to be the general plan for each building on the city grid.
Building roof, few constructions, spiral staircase top secured with metal bars that reached the ceiling. - Mechanoid
Δ 8. Building Complex, Top floor
What you can do with these room setups should be fairly obvious.

Appartment buildings could potentially house entire (non-noble) dwarf populations in just one structure.
The floor plan on the right can hold not only shops, but also small rooms where dwarves can own via non-rent rooms, a chest and coffer; possibly the shop keepers.

All the while, the exterior walls are covered with clear glass windows. - Mechanoid
