My third year! I have completed the mining project I started in the year earlier. The next year will focus on ridding the central living space from excess floors and laying out the perminant rooms and slowly breaking down the temporary stockpiles and workshops.
I have 69 dwarves at the moment, including 9 legendary miners. I have gone way overboard making statues, coffers, and cabinets, mostly because I set the workshops to automatic and then forgot about them.
Even though I have brought 200 units of wood and probably traded for a 100 more, I still don't have enough. =)
I have been using this area as a temporary area for my magma smelters and forges. I don't have much experience using magma in z-axis DF, so this has been a bit of a learning experience for me.
I had read that magma will not flow up as water would; however, as you can see, it has in some channels, forcing me to close of the right-most section. It seems that channels made directly over the magma pipe seem to allow magma to rise up, while channels over magma not in the magma pipe do not. - Charrat

You can download the compressed map file: 2008-06/charrat-Abbeytunneled-region1-spr-1054-1054-0.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
