After learning the massive tree farm in Ringcloister was built in vain (there's apparently a hard limit of 200 growing tower-caps), I abandoned the fort permanently. So I tossed the massive farm idea aside and started something else. I kept a few ideas, like the outdoor wall and automatic irrigation system. And yes, I'm still a no-good cheater. :P
I present to you: Doorholes.
The image from the first year is cut short since I hadn't yet discovered the cave river, so I discarded it. I neglected to save during the next two years, so those are lost. However, I did record the beginning and end of the fourth year.
Though it's changed quite a bit during construction, my original plan with this fort was to build everything around the barracks. Everything entering the fort will eventually have to walk straight through several dozen warriors to reach the fortress proper. The food stockpile below it will eventually hold ammunition and possibly some armaments as well. There will be communal bedding in the room below that, which will connect to a well room then the oversized bucket storage room for health care. - Anxiety

D'oh! By not discovering the cave river I meant not discovering the chasm.

Whoa, is that rewall you used to get the outside walls? The end result looks nice. You can change ponds into rivers (O_o)? The numerous errors could be the "terraforming", yes, but reclaiming might solve it as you suggested. It's absolutely amazing though, even if you can't see past the chasm...
