Spring in the third year of Reignpulleys. Progress has been quite good these last two years with several major architectural projects coming to fruition. At the time of this shot, population is a healthy 109. Food production is lagging behind quite a bit, but there's more than enough time to rectify that situation before winter sets in.
I'm showing this view just to outline my basic forward fortress plans. The main idea is to discourage goblins from entering through the lower slanted passageway (which was really created as an easy conduit for goods to the trading depot) and to actually encourage them to go into the main passageway where, hopefully, my army will engage them.
The smaller bridge leading to the finished goods stockpile and ultimately to the trade depot can be withdrawn during sieges. However, I realize that that passageway is too easy to enter now. So, sometime in the future I hope to employ a magma, water, or steam moat to make entrance into that passageway totally unappealing to the little gobblers. - BridgeBurner

The medinas looks great, and I like the wide funnelled entrance. I'm not sure about the diagonally spaced walls on the south offices - I'm sure you can see/fire through those gaps.

I'm definitely not happy with the way some of the noble villas turned out. I agree that the diagonal tiles look awful, though I'm not so much worried about any nasties down that way.

BridgeBurner, why not patch the offices up with windows? When you put them in, they tweak the wall pattern. I think it could look much cooler then.

Ooo....great idea! I was actually wondering what the hell I was going to do with my magma glassworks. Satisfying picky fey moods just didn't seem like enough.
