Mountain-Banners, after the seventh and final year of the great Bridge-building challenge. The points of interest, if seen in order starting with "0. The sheer...", give you a guided tour of the fortress and its construction.
Bridge-building challenge thread (page five, includes 3D images):
Story: "A Journey to Mountain-Banners"
Four bridges made of pure platinum blocks bear the road through the central tower. To the north and south [scroll north], a pair of enormous tapestries in three colors carpet the entire surface (itself made exclusively of chalk blocks) between the side towers. On both sides are limonite statues set in alcoves.
The creation of the tapestry required a dyer, a weaver, and a clothier dedicated to production, and a great many haulers to sort the ropes (as the game interface provides no easy way to tell different colors of woven goods apart), and then place them color by color. The total number of jobs required, adding up farming, harvesting, threshing, milling, weaving, dying, rope-making, and rope placing together, was very roughly 6500 (guessing 378 dyed cloth from traders, 900 made locally). - Fedor
