Same fortress, a few years later. I have built a new, and architecturally grander entrance. its now a three storey hallway leading directly to the heart of the fortress. The Arena is also finished and furnished with a pet dragon. The waterworks have been finished allowing an indoor waterfall in the finalized throne room (very satisfied with it btw). also and indoor bath, safety plug, replica of the Constantinopel Hippodrome and a military restructuring.
Current projects are limited to getting rid of of goblin clothes and armor. and building a temple to god. haven't quite decided which one yet since my world is too old to have some actual gods around.
My main goal right now is to lower the total amount of items on the map. old tattered clothing, rock mugs, narrow silk socks. The only sucess so far is the rock cleanup operation. I have some quarry operations to get obsidian and limestone. otherwise no stone lying around. golbin underwear FUCKING EVERYWERE!!!
For a walkthough of the fort economy and layout check out the older map.
The Queens new throne room. Its about 20% of the volume of the fort so I hope she thinks its worth it. Sterlng silver throne, encrusted with some of her favorite jewels (she like sterling silver, ok!).
Gold statues, 4 gold wells complete with chains, blocks and buckets all in gold. indoor waterfall and that table in the middle is an adamantine artifact worth 1,4 million. The Armor stand beside her throne is the first artifact crafted in fort and has great sentimental value.
South of the throne rooms I have some shops, the jail (no fancy stuff. Steel cages to hold them and thats it), the bath (automated pressure plates to make sure that the waterlevel is 4/7), the casino, the philosophers classroom/office. Have some room left that I dont know what do do off yet. - Quift

I see you're still in the habit of making old-school cave-in proof rooms :)

That's just future proofing, right.. for when Toady puts cavein's back in and everyone's forts fall apart.
