Three Years later, still at 25 pop. The walls are complete, and only just in time since the elves have found us. They ambushed us with three squads. One of my three (3!) fighters charged into their midst, only to tumble off the bridge and into the sheer river canyon below. He quickly drowned as the elves watched and laughed.
They eventually left. . .
Pretty compact, though storage space might be a problem in the future. The room at the top is for my broker. The two levers control the iron gates for both the main wall and for the depot itself - I roleplayed the broker being super paranoid and holing up by himself if things ever got bad. - Salmeuk

I do like the bend of the river in this one, very nice. A shame if the site gets too boring to play.

That is a lot of purple.

I retired this fortress after discovering that black bronze displayed purple, just like the glumprong wood I had used for most of my aboveground buildings.
