Motaval "Strangelove" - 144 Mid Summer by Bumber

Map Description:

My first aesthetically-designed fortress.

Armok Vision and Stonesense screenshots can be found here

Point of Interest: Strand Extraction / Repeater

There's a bunch of adamantine left that's never going to be used. The endless hoard of wandering demons are left alone for FPS reasons, and the world lacks the new adventure mode reactions to make starting an elite mercenary group worthwhile.

The repeater controls the upright spikes that killed much of the first wave of demons. The roller is at lowest speed. The pump keeps (even building destroyer) fliers out.

The two drawbridges in the z-levels above are controlled by the levers on level 54, which didn't merit its own point of interest.

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

I like this, especially that magma moat slightly below the surface, the grass looks awesome in contrast.

I see this is your first upload. I hope you share more in the future, you have an interesting style.

You can download the compressed map file: 2016-07/bumber-Strangelove.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
