Map Description:

Ragbottle continues its life as a major construction sink for dwarven society. But at least they're eating well...

Point of Interest: 05. Kitchen

This room, and all the rooms below and to the north of it, house roasts, drinks, plants, meat, and all that good stuff. What you won't find are intestines, spleens, eyeballs, or any of that junk. To date, only one dwarf has died at Ragbottle. "Custer", a dirty thob (they work the wood furnaces and such) was taken by a fey mood and couldn't find the building he wanted to filthy up with his goat poo-and-dog testicle artifact, so he went berserk and tried attacking the first thing he could find: a cat belonging to the expedition leader, "Hugs" Gullystandards. The poor cat broken in two, "Hugs" extracted swift and bloody vengeance, beheading "Custer" with a copper pick and then chopping him in half at the waist. The leftover mess was scooped into a stone coffin and a slab engraved warning the rest of the world not to fuck with "Hugs". - Noble Digger
Δ 101. 02. Artifact Vault
14 artifacts of varying quality and imagination, including a mug made of coal and 2 cinnabar crowns, a ring, and an earring. Some of the animals guarding the vault died when the fort got too busy for anyone to feed them and no one's replaced them yet. - Noble Digger

From here all the way up to the vault at the peak is pretty much completed. There's still plenty of flooring and cleanup work to do, but the bulk of the dangerous parts are over now. For a while, phantom trees were collapsing all over the place and luckily no one was thrown into the volcano. - Noble Digger

I'm planning to shape the whole volcano like this, which involves a lot of dangerous work, including draining a lot of the volcano. I've done it before, and it's doable - just not always fun. - Noble Digger

I did a little construction to keep trees from growing in awkward places and to make sure there weren't unreachable logs falling on top of the walls of the pens. - Noble Digger

Floodgates, doors, and mechanisms for use in the magma forge project that I've been sloooowly building toward. - Noble Digger

Lots of Hematite and Coal in here, as well as Gabbro which I use for floors in the pyramid by the hundreds. - Noble Digger

The Marble Pyramid had to come from somewhere! As well as the hundreds of pieces of Marble furniture in the bedrooms. - Noble Digger

Unchanged for a long time, but these will soon be getting some additional furniture, engraved walls, and a bit of... plumbing... for when dwarves become politically difficult. - Noble Digger
