Map Description:

The haunted ocean-cove fortress of Sterntheaters, days after the slaying of a fire-breathing mountain titan.

Point of Interest: Second Defense :: Barrier Wall

Anyone who makes it past the bridge may still be denied entrance to the fortress by this wall. The doors can be locked, which may not do much against building destroyers, but it's something. The wall is five z-levels high. - fidelcowstro

The first real defense against invaders is this drawbridge. One z-level above this POI is the markdwarves' fortification, where they can rain bolts down upon anyone trying to cross over. The bridge, of course, can be raised at the pull of a lever. - fidelcowstro

Technically, this is still a part of the haunted ocean biome, despite being far from the water. As such, I don't use it except to station troops during military activity and to build emergency workshops (like this leather works). - fidelcowstro

This is the trade depot. The natural formation of the cove doesn't allow for a three-tile wide passageway all the way through, so I placed the depot just outside this chokepoint. - fidelcowstro

Δ 15. Temporary Forges
This magma forge and smelter are only in place so that I can make the hundred something magma-safe corkscrews and pipe sections necessary to construct a pump stack so that I don't have to haul this crap back and forth. Yeah, I could use minecarts, but having a magma pumpstack provides SO MANY OTHER INTRINSIC BENEFITS. - fidelcowstro
