• Δ 177. Defense Turrets

  This is the beginning of a pair of massive marble turrets that will help to defend the fort's front entrance. Each will have a ballista battery and positions for marksdwarves. - DrJonez

  We've finally completed the road. It's made of marble blocks and has a bridge of solid gold over the river. - DrJonez
• 172. Garbage Chute

  A method for disposing of unwanted goblin parts and equipment. Notice how much cleaner the outside of the fort has gotten! - DrJonez

  The main entrance, protected by fortifications on either side and a drawbridge that can be raised to keep out invaders.
  
  The surrounding countryside is covered in ash and gore, as it should be! - DrJonez

  This grand entrance hall contains a Trade Depot for visiting caravans to unload at. There are also barracks for the military, to keep them stationed near the front gates. The loopback design of the hallways delays attackers and provides plenty of space to place traps. - DrJonez

  The great dining hall, full of marble tables and thrones. There are three wells to drink from, and stairs down to the larder below.

  Simple bedrooms consisting of a bed, cabinet and coffer are where most of the dwarves sleep. - DrJonez

  It includes storage for medical supplies, beds, tables for surgery and traction benches for treating broken bones. There are also two wells for giving water to wounded dwarves or to clean wounds to prevent infection. - DrJonez

  An ingenious irrigation setup allows the dwarves to grow their own food underground, indefinitely. - DrJonez

  This tank captures drainage from the farms and holds water for the dining hall / hospital wells. - DrJonez

  This area provides ten cells for holding law breakers. There's also an office for the warden and a torture chamber for dealing with captured invaders. - DrJonez

  These tunnels are lined with marble coffins that contain commoners' remains. A second set of tunnels has been excavated but not yet finished. - DrJonez

  This sarcophagus made of sterling silver (the Count's favorite metal!) will be our ruler's final resting place. The other tombs nearby will be occupied by lesser nobles, or particularly deserving military dwarves. - DrJonez

  Some comfortable quarters for our talented metal workers, conveniently located much closer to the forges. - DrJonez

• 10. Magma Furnaces

  A full magma smelter/forge setup, along with other workshops to assist in the processing of adamantine. A vast stockpile of metal bars lies just down the hall. - DrJonez

• 117. Cavern Entrance

  This small, lightly fortified position leads into the unexplored caverns below. - DrJonez
