• ¶ 120. Embark spot
  We decided to bring the wagon on top of the mountain, a few level above the mouth of the volcano.
  
  Two levels below I removed all the access ramps so the west area of the top of the mountain is only accessible from the fort itself, I'm safe from non-flying invaders.
  
  This biome is full of flying bird-men and bird-womens though, so the outside isn't completely safe. Keas have been stealing lots of things, totems, and bone crafts mainly. - nonobots

  A Giant Mosquito.
  
  This is the kind of things I'm dealing with, not much danger but as it's flying around it creates a lot of job cancellation.
  
  The peached-faced women and men are more of a trouble and have killed a war dog and a turkey. - nonobots
• Δ 117. Bedrooms
  6 levels with 6 bedrooms each, all rooms are 6 tiles. Most of them are already furnished with a bed, cabinet and coffer. They'll all eventually get an armor stand, weapon rack and a second coffer.
  
  I can expand each floor to add bedrooms, or build another apartment block elsewhere. This will depend how the fortress evolves. - nonobots
• Δ 117. Future barracks
  I've been too busy to start a real military. I have a single dwarf with no armor and a crappy bronze battle axe.
  
  This will soon be fixed, probably at the next migration wave I'll start a real squad for protection. - nonobots
• Δ 117. Hematite a-plenty
  With dfhack digvx command I marked a lot of hematite to dig, with all the chalk and wood I have I am all set for a productive and early steel industry. - nonobots
• Δ 117. Temporary Depot and Fortress entry point.
  Depot will be moved inside pretty soon. This little natural valley area will be cleaned up and be the entry point of the fortress. Traps, roads, statues, war dogs and a barrack are all on the list of todos. For now some wardogs are guarding the entrance. - nonobots
• Δ 116. Magma Forges and Furnaces
  One of the first project, magma was breached without any danger to the miners one level below. Glass making, smelters and forges were up and running before the end of the first summer. - nonobots
• Δ 115. Magma Breaching
  To make sure my magma reservoir was safe and wouldn't fill with fire imps and magma crabs I first smoothed and carved fortification where the magma would enter the reservoir. After clearing out the reservoir of all it's stone and walling it off, I then channelled the tiles behind the carved fortifications to let the magma flow in. - nonobots
• Δ 112. Access to the depths
  Now that the surface fort is pretty much dug up it will be time to dig down and find the caverns.
  
  I know there's a partial aquifer down there somewhere I'll want to find it soon to have a renewable source of fresh water. Maybe also use it to make a waterfall in the middle f the stairs... we'll see. - nonobots

  This map has everything!
  
  I usually do not care for the clay industry, but with early magma and fire clay readily available, I think I'm gonna start using this pretty soon. - nonobots
• Δ 112. Food and farm area
  Focussing on digging a rather large fortress, on the magma shops, making and furnishing lots of bedrooms, I didn't start my real food industry yet. The rooms were the last thing I dug, the farms and poultry room were just finished a week or so ago. Time to start all my food-related industries! - nonobots
• Δ 112. Main stockpiles and offices
  The manager, book keeper and expedition leaders each have an office here, and this big room is used for most stockpiles. Large furniture stockpile top left, weapons, armor and ammo under it, cloth and leather on the right. The room down and right was planned to be a dining hall, but it ended up being partly sand, so it's currently my finished good stockpile. - nonobots
• Δ 112. The dining room
  I usually have more than one meeting zone, to make sure dwarves spread out and do not socialize too much. This is currently my only one, and it ain't impressive at all.
  
  In the middle is the puppy cage. Where puppies go until they've grown up enough to become food or war trained. - nonobots
