  Our initial stations for the forging of metal items and the crafting of mechanics, wood burners and smelters sit by the stockpiles, processing raw materials for our smiths and engineers. Rooms adjoining the shops are reserved for our best craftdwarves of the appropriate skill. - Fivegears

  With our river freezing over mid-fall and staying frozen until sometime in the spring, depending on the year, the dwarves had very few options for when they were out of alcohol or had fallen ill. Thankfully an aquifer was able to provide water and this room evolved from a small watering hole to a full-fledged tavern. - Fivegears

  Free-range animals, a farming area unconcerned with aesthetics, and a dangerous proximity to an aquifer and river makes any nature-loving dwarf feel right at home.
  Unfinished rooms for farm workers await just across the hall to the Northwest. - Fivegears

  When we have visitors, we want to make sure they can arrive in comfort, so we've arranged for a side entrance where they can take in some of our fantastic mechanical creations, and finally, have a personal welcoming committee awaiting them. - Fivegears

  Originally a workshop for our wrenchknife-class dwarves, it's currently in a transitory period as crafting is being housed closer to the resources they require. A few hangers-on remain, specifically the loom workshop and the gem cutter. - Fivegears

  Perhaps the first casualty of Planmetal and it's dangers, this mechanic is interred with an artifact mechanism. - Fivegears

  The mayor resides a few levels below the entrance, where he can oversee the manufacture of stone goods, from both craft stations and mason's workshops. - Fivegears

  The gates leading down into caverns, the barracks have a rotating staff, but is mostly under the command of the Macho Militia. - Fivegears

  Planmetal's jail serves to help criminals integrate back into society - most of those that end up in jail are merely tantruming or the victim of noble whims, so we make things as comfortable as we can for them.
