Map Description:

Established in Year 8, this fortress proudly stands as a beacon to all thing dwarven.

Children are treated like adults, which basically means bedrooms, tombs, job assignments (DwarfTherapist)

Point of Interest: Entrance Passageway and Barracks

The main entrance way is LITTERED with the bodies of the FOOL goblins and kobolds who dared enter Delethurvad.
'Course, none of them made it in in the past 4 years, partly due to the 4 squads of almost completely legendary axedwarves. To prevent cave adaptation (hopefully), their barracks were exposed to the sun and then roofed over.
Steel bridges and statues help to obscure line of sight for any invading archers. - jonanlsh

The glass looks pretty in compressed form. It's transparent. The massiveness, awesome.

I like what's on the bottom of the Grand Stairway - A Grand Granary and the thick-walled chambers.

Building around that massive stairway must make you feel vary dwarfy!

Δ 133. Entrance Passageway and Barracks

Δ 133. The Old Fortress
From year 8 to about year 15-16, the dwarves of Delethurvad called this hole in the side of a mountain, home.

They were quite happy here, but there were bigger plans.

Δ 133. Trade Depot and Finished Goods storage
The trade depot (and all other workshops) are made out of 100% steel bars. Really shows off the wealth.

A couple of goblin sieges smashed the previous few human caravans. Thanks to them, large clothing is the No.1 export of Delethurvad. Along with totems and crafts, they are stored here, close to the depot. - jonanlsh
Δ 132. Workshop Floor
All the workshops in the fortress are located in this area.

Cloth processing, soap making, wood crafting, masonry, metallurgy, etc. I tried to locate the workshops right above relevant stockpile designations, with staircases connecting this room to the storeroom below. - jonanlsh
Δ 131. Storeroom
This large rooms stores all the (unedible) materials needed for use in the fortress. Self-explanatory really.
I plan to smooth out the walls eventually.
Also, the central shaft is a double helix that extends from the fortress entrance. - jonanlsh
Δ 128. Grand Bedroom and Dining Room Complex
Beautiful isn't it?

This is the crowning jewel of Delethurvad, the grand dining hall and bedroom complex.
Each bedroom is completely engraved, with 2 cabinets and 1 container per dwarf. All the entrances into the bedrooms go through statue gardens, forcing happy thoughts upon the dwarves. The nobles get 5x5 rooms with attached offices and dining rooms.
The 6 o'clock statue garden is the entrance into the hospital zone.
The central dining room has steel statues of varying quality, plus artifact tables, skyrocketing the value of the room. This is also the "ground floor" of the fortress shaft. - jonanlsh
Δ 128. Hospital
10 wards, each with a bed, traction bench and table.
1 office for the chief medical dwarf, and 1 store room that holds cloth, soap and thread. - jonanlsh
Δ 127. Food Production, Processing and Storage
This single floor houses all the food produced in Delethurvad, as well as the workshops that process food and edibles into usable materials.
A pasture houses all the egg-laying animals, to allow for quick collection and processing of the eggs.
One of the rooms is the dedicated processing area, adjacent to the farms. All the workshops (to a great extent) were built from steel bars, for maximum wealth flaunting.
4/9 of the food storage rooms are currently being used. The remainder are for future expansion, should we ever reach that point. - jonanlsh
Δ 126. Mining Ops/ Aqueduct system
This area is the designated mining area for the miners. I aim to empty this level of all coal within the next 10 years.

Also, the tunnels nearby carry the water that irrigated the farm in the level above, as well as provide a water supply for the cisterns for the hospital and dining room. - jonanlsh
Δ 124. The Grand Tomb Complex
Exactly what it says on the point, this area has 178 grave plots, 2 mass graves for pets and 4 grand tombs for the most important dwarves and/or nobles.

Though this depicts the complex in an incomplete state, the actual complex has been completely engraved.

Eventually, everyone will get 1 cabinet in their tombs. And 1 container. And anything else I can cram into a 2x3 space. - jonanlsh
