Point of Interest: Megabeast? More like Target Practice!

( 706 Early Spring → 706 Mid Summer )

So in 706, I had a Megabeast that even I would not engage directly. It had a type of poison blood that killed almost any Dwarf in seconds and spread like a plague.

I trapped it near the forges on a bridge with lava on either side. Rather then killing it, I set up siege engines around it and now use it for target practice. - Bishotron

Δ 202. The Great Tower

This is a Legendary Art-Deco Dwarven Sky Scraper, all craftsmanship is of the highest quality!
It’s encrusted with Steel, diorite, gabbro, granite, mica, raw adamantine, and platinum.
The tower menaces with spikes of platinum and gold
The Tower is adorned with hanging rings of iron, platinum and steel and held fast by bands of finely worked Steel.

On the Tower is an Image of Dwarves in refined Adamantine, and gabbro. The Dwarf is making a mocking gesture. The image relates to the construction of Roadtruss the Mirror of Soaring, a Dwarven City. The image is mocking all those that question the power of the Dwarven civilization.’
On the Tower is an Image of the Half Dragon Swordsmen Greiger and Dwarves in Refined Adamantine. The Dwarves are surrounding the Half Dragon making a pleading gesture. The Image relates to the aid and saving of the Dwarven people by the Half Dragon Swordsmen Greiger throughout the history of Roadtruss.

OK so starting with a better view of the fort? This is a view that shows the fort, the tower and the city right down the middle. From here you can get an idea for the size for the whole map. - Bishotron

( 706 Early Spring to 707 Mid Autumn )
Floors are plated in gold and rose gold and steel.
Pillars engraved with Masterworks.

Gold tables and Adamtine statues and chairs.
The place is fit for a king, and then some. - Bishotron

The main heart of Roadtruss.
The center of the city, is dee into the mountain.
The central staircase, ringed by Masterwork Adamitine Statues, goes all the way from the top to the very bottom down to the magma sea.

( 700 Early Spring to 705 Early Autumn )
The outside part of Roadtruss is a massive Fortress dedicated to repel any siege or invader.
The Main walls are solid Granite with a Red Kaolnite roof.
The Tower Tops are Bronze with "Flags" Of rose gold and black bronze.

The Outer walls are made up of solid steel and copper. - Bishotron

While htis is not the first time, it is still awesome.

( 701 Early Spring to 704 Late Summer )
Half way between the Upper City and the Lower Underworld is an are that seemed ideal for a 'rest stop'

Overlooking a siezable and peacful underground lake. I have Dorms, Food and Booze stockpiles, and even a meeting well and statue garden.

These days with as much as 50 levels between top and bottom, these are welcome for Dwarves. - Bishotron

Not exactly the most "pretty' forges.
I actually built these long before I had an idea of how laid out and grand the main city would be. Over time I just expanded them as I needed a larger and larger smelting crew.

By the end of the map, I had over 15 Legendary Furnace workers ;P - Bishotron
