Firegear - 1051 Late Summer by Markavian

Map Description:

Autumn has almost rolled round bring a cool breeze to the end of summer. The salty pools dry, but the dwarves have carved out a hearty home for themselves.

Point of Interest: Path from the highlands

After finding the spot marked by the prospectors, a path was built up to the highlands and dug out of the cliff. These stone pillars (guarded by traps) mark the entrance to the beach fort and provide access to the trees and plants lifted up off the shore. Some simple farms have been built using seeds collected from the local flora. - Markavian

I love the way you just move in and merge fortress and landscape so fluidly. This is such a unique layout for a fortress; I'm always building stuffy little square ones, so you have my applause and admiration for taking on something so unique.

On a side note, what is the tileset you're using for this? I don't think I've seen it before.

Bedroom layout is stylish.

Hey Chayfox, the tileset is my own, available off my user page on the wiki or from the graphic tilesets page with a revised version of Sphr's object graphics for 12x12.
