Deeplabored, Year 19
A few things of note in the last 8 years:
Built roads to keep trees from blocking wagon paths.
Finished engraving the Great Hall
Population has grown to 48. Children of the original generation are starting to marry, which bodes well for the future.
Decided the vaults weren't grand enough, and re purposed them into a eagle aviary.
Dug out space for a 60-zlevel pump stack. It'll take a bit longer to get it working, though.
Managed to get enough steel from traders to outfit a fully military. Wiped out a tribe of troglodytes.
Animals in the menagerie are starting to die of old age. Eventually it'll be a hall of exotic skeletons behind glass windows.
A few levels are missing due to "Export Local Image" causes repeated crashes, but the important things are here.
( 119 Late Summer → onwards )
Food is stored under the main dining areas, to prevent hungry dwarves from clogging up the production areas. - grimmr

How do you only have a population of 30? I can get waves of 30 sometimes...

I love circles. Nice fort.
Brewster, he says in the post that he turned off migrants.

This fort is very nice! The vault idea is a very good idea too. I'm going to do it in my fortress to ensure artifacts are there for my adventurer ^^
