Δ 152. The Execution Tower
This was initialy created to dump the goblin prisoners off of when the piles got full. It dumped them about 10 Z-Levels, which i assumed was enough. In addition, it even dumped the bodys right into the refuse pile!

However, it didnt work, as every one in three goblins survived the fall somehow, and since they were then located right next to the farms, chaos ensured. One goblin managed to kill a Legendary farmer, so i stoped using the tower.

In Addition, its a reaaaaly long walk to get up the tower, and took a full minuite for one goblin to be chucked. And thats not even taking into account the fact that the dwarfs would have to leave the fortress to kill the goblins. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 146. Pyramid MegaProject
This is the first Megaproject ever undertaken by me.

At the moment, its just a small pyramid that will hold a tomb of a soldier, but later im going to cap the pyramid with gold. In addition, i plan to add another pyramid of the same size next to it, and then to the north create a pyramid that is twice the size of the other two. In this will go my Baron.

I was going to create a above-ground self sufficient fortress, but there is a much larger area to the south that i could use for that. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 145. The Above-Ground Farms and Refuse pile.
Early on in the fortress Mandrills stole most of the food, so i had to resort to picking all of the local shrubs for food. When this was over, i ended up with nearly a hundred different above-ground seeds, and so i decided to vary the dwarvern diet by creating a above-ground farm.

Just to the north of the farm is also the Refuse pile, which can be acessed during a siege, helping prevent Misasma Build-up.
In the refuse pile you can see a alrge ammount of goblins, the remnants from a earlier siege. In addition, you can see a pair of Blind Cave ogres and a Forgotten Beast (The Green "C") That managed to kill a military dwarf with its poisonous sting. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 142. Underground Farms
Just the fortress's underground farming. Currently, they are only growing Plump Helmits and Pig Tails for cloth. In the future, i would like to build a windmill and add cave wheat into the diet.

Δ 141. Open Area
I plan to make a Mega-Project here later, possibly jsut a large above-ground self-sufficient fortress.

Δ 141. Siege
After failing to raise the bridge for some reason my military decided to charge head-on into the 80 stron goblin force. My 30 dwarves slaughtered them, only suffering one casualty who got stepped on by a troll.

That dwarf is going to get a large tomb in one of the pyramids that im building as a mega-construstion. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 141. The entrance
This is the only current entry into ColdBridges. The Walls and fortifications are made out of Quartzite and Rocksalt Blocks, The bridge is made out of Marble Blocks and the road that runs North-South is made of, once again, Quartzite Blocks.

Just inside the fortress is the several barracks for my 29 Military Dwarves, split into three batalions - thats one room for 10 dwarfs. After a very damaging siege and tantrum spiral i decided to build some siege weapons to better defend my fort with. If you follow the cliffside eastwards, there is another Balistae as well as the siege ammo stockpile.

Slightly to the north is the Trade Depot, filled with goods that are yet to be hauled by my dwarves. The central Stairwell and farms are located near there. - Urist McDiggyHole
¶ 141. The Trade Depot
This is the trade depot, filled with goods ready to be hauled or traded.

In addition, there are currently elves sitting there, ready to be traded with. But, for some reason, i decided i want to declare war with the elves, and so i am about to try and trade them a Maple bin. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 138. The Stocks
This is the stockpile floor. It is carved out of Quartzite instead of normal dirt, and it took a looong time for the unnesicary stones that clogged up the place to dissapear. There is a stockpile for everything except Coins at the moment. In the Furniture Stockpile there are alor of Cabinets, ready to be built in the Bedrooms below. The Animal stockpile is currently full of Elk Birds and Goblins, but that is quickly being cleared out due to the sucessful Magma-Execution chamber. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 137. Workshop Floor
Just the workshop floor of the fortress. It currently holds almost all of the different kinds of workshop avalable in the game, including 6 Mason Shops, 3 Carpenter Shops, Two Craftdwarf Shops, Three Metalsmith Forges and 11 Smelters, currently in high use due to the recent Gobby siege. - Urist McDiggyHole

This is just the floor that holds some, but not all, of the auxiliary nessecities in the fortress. To the west is the Hospital, The East is the Jail where a dwarf has just been released, the south is the Gladiatorial Arena, which is not purely cosmetic, and to the north is the Danger room, that can now be used to train atleast a dozen dwarves at once. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 134. Third Floor
Just a small tomb, two nobles rooms and a Zoo.

The zoo contains a Badger, a Mandrill and Had contained a wolf, but someone claimed it as a pet and it got out. - Urist McDiggyHole

Im really proud of this- it was made completely be a macro of my own design. Now that i understand macros, i will be able to build large areas like this with ease. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 132. The Royal Chambers
I was recently made a Barony, and i elected my Legendary Stone Detailer who, since the forts creation has not stopped working. I think he deserves it. The initial room is going to be a throne room, with furniture made of gold. His tomb is going to be made of steel, and decorated with Masterwork statues.

I dont know what else to do with the rooms though. - Urist McDiggyHole
Δ 107. Dumping Tunnel
I had come across the problem of having too many Gobbys in cage traps clogging up my stockpile, and had came to the conclusion i had to do something about it. Initialy i built a large tower to chuck the Gobbys off, but htat didnt work. (Check the Relevant POI)

So, after a tip from a friend, i made this tunnel leading to a platform i built over a Magma pipe, and started chucking the Gobbos into it. So far, it appears to be working, and it has already eater about a dozen trolls and giant toads.

Pictured is the next batch of goblin Spearmen, Crossbowmen and Pikemen being marched down to the platform for execution. - Urist McDiggyHole

Awesome above ground farm. Good fort that gives me a few ideas to use in my own forts. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comment, but i didnt think that my fort was anything special in the first place. The only reason its built like it is, is for the nearby goblin encampments. You can tell how many gobbos i have caught by checking the stockpile floor, and the POI called "Dumping Tunnel"
