The air-dwarves of Mudposts refuse to do anything as undignified as "dig a hole in the ground," and picks have only been used to clear out solidified magma and pry the odd gem out of the hillsides. Instead, they've struck the sky, using stoneware bricks to construct a city on stilts.

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.
There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check
the
Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help
me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error
in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is
outside the bounds of the DataView
. Feel free to
report a problem
with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

You can download the compressed map file:

but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

Whoa!
What a dwarven building!
How many time have it taken so far?

Game time? About 26 years. Real time...? I'd rather not think about it!

Do you plan making big water/lava falls?
Submitted by: _nil_ - 2011-05-28 to 328 Late Spring
Well, there are hatches semi-strategically placed throughout the lava and water systems to use against invaders... beyond that, not necessarily. I'm trying to get as high a population as possible while keeping FPS managable so I've tried to avoid permanent flows. The next projects on the docket is a lavish new tower for the (as of yet unarrived) king and a well timed string of retracting bridges to provide a quick, safe, one-trip to the ground for melee troops.
