Map Description:

Earthringed!! A city built in a cave. hell yeah.

Point of Interest: First battle of Earthringed

This epic battle consisted of one (1) giant cave spider versus ten (10) Dwarves. The giant cave spider found a crack in my defences (I neglected to wall an area up because it had a tree in the way. Sadly it had a free diagonal square which allowed the spider in). Since the hammerdwarve I set off with (to train other hammerdwarves) Was currently filling in as a Miner and didn't have his hammer, I expected the worst. Luckily, my ramshackle militia of anyone nearby managed to punch the nasty critter to death with only one casualty, a totally useless tanner who turned up in my first migration wave. Victory!! - Drone

Shame this isn't in the latest version really, or I could of put minecarts. Minecarts everywhere.

¶ 37. City
This is the city. Built in the first cave I breached, it started out by merely walling the hell outta any passes that are around the area to make it secure. Construction of any sorta buildings didn't really occur until halfway through 212. - Drone

Cave moss can be planted on, and when it is planted on turns into soil! sadly, you can't plant on dead shrubs, live shrubs or tree saplings, so I had to sorta cram this in as soon as I got down here, hence it's odd posistion. - Drone

Δ 37. Makeshift Forges
I only have one miner, having replaced the other with a proficiant teacher hammerdwarf to train my militia somewhat faster. This means digging is slow as hell. Hence I got tired of waiting to find the lava and just decided to start temporary forging operations wtih wood burnt charcoal. - Drone
