Spiralsling - 429 Early Spring by Drone

Map Description:

This is actually only a year after the previous map (I forgot the year I started in, oops). My dwarves nearly starved since I'd forgotten that I wasn't going to be penetrating the caverns straight away (like I normally do) and hence would have no mud access. I had to get my dwarves to gather plants then grow the seeds on the surface farm. This appears to be working pretty well! A lot of rooms are done, but housing still needs to be set up.

Point of Interest: The Great Wall of Childr- WHAT THE HECK MY FPS

Yeah. It probably must be a dummy bug, generated by hated elves and their ungodly forgotten beasts. - dragoncurse

I'm still not entirely sure where the wagon is on this map...

I hope your starting to build some defenses, cause at the moment your fortress looks easier to penetrate than your MOM lolololol (probably doesn't have as many immigrants visiting though)

You can download the compressed map file: 2010-12/drone-Spiralsling-region5-429-2254.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
