I seem to have missed an update. However not much Happened in the summer so I will combine Spring and summer updates here.

Take this as a good example of a water reactor. It is selfsufficient in generating power and provides extra power for your fortress.
Currently it is supplying 99/200 power. Extra power should that one wheel fail for a second jobs are not canceled from the millstones. Also extra resevoir underneath to prevent lack of water causing lack of power.
Red switch above is made of Cinnabar and controls a floor hatch as an emergency shutoff, red stone below is stained with werewolf blood.
Power is connected from the top of the pump.

It would be fun to know that dwarves that get bitten and survive would turn into werewolves themselves too, but I guess that'll have to come later with disease and magic.
