My fortress in the works. Going to channel the brook to provide a moat with a 1 tile wide area to the south of it to allow a long line of spanktacular traps. The little entrance area will be sporting 6 ballistas also. And inside the fortress, there's two bridges, one to force invaders to go a long winding path around two fortification areas with crossbowdwarfs, and another to drop them into the pit of water that's being currently worked on. West-side is going to be the barracks and military wing. East is going to be the awesome production area, and south side is the living quarters with some dining areas tossed in, possibly around int he circular areas to give it a bit of class.
Oh, and a random farming bit somewhere in there. Left some zlevels out to keep it just on the fortress.
Also known as the stockpile area until my miners stop dicking around. :( - Corbine

If you set "Only Farmers Harvest" under your Orders menu, the woodworker will get back to work on wood.

where'd you get the graphics mod? does it make the tiles even squares in-game or do they just look that way in the viewer?

llamavore, from the wiki of course! The List of user graphic sets; has a few you can try out. That tileset uses a 16x16 curses with graphic overlays for the dwarves.

Looks like fun. Took me a while to figure out how the moat was being fed. Kinda weird how the river gets diverted.
