Beardhall - 203 Early Spring by comradestu

Point of Interest: Living Quarters (Level 1)

( 203 Early Spring → 209 Late Winter )

The upper living quarters level.
Looking back, I wish I'd made the rooms to the north and south 3x3. They're sort of small, especially when compared to the rooms for the Founding 7. I think eventually I'll segregate the first level 2x3 rooms so they house only peasants.
This level also overlooks the Great Hall. I'll hopefully be able to procure some clear glass to make a window. If not, gems will have to do. - comradestu

How experienced are your miners?

Dwarf Therapist lists them as Legendary +5. They've been working pretty much non-stop since embark.

Obsidian production already?!

I wish.
Just the preparations to get the magma forges and smelters up and running.

Also: I've finally figured out what blue (or green) comments mean.

Wow, lookin' good! That's a truly epic entrance hall... My little 9-wide buggers feel shriveled by comparison...

I've been seeing a big deal over Obsidian, can I inquire as to why?

Obsidian is the (or one of the) most valuable stone(s) you can have. Plus, it can be used to create weaponry!

Excellent fortress!!!

I'm impressed by all the features you built into the whole entrance area.

I love the entrance ramps. Strategic, functional, and not a complicated maze.
