Map Description:

This fort is being created to explore the use of burrows for the purpose of creating segregated sub-fortresses.

Point of Interest: Bridge

This bridge gets dwarves and caravans across the large pit from the main fortress to the military fort. It is created entirely from stone, due to my haste to begin the digging. I would normally have made it from stone blocks but in this case I needed it to be built to start my main project. - AtomicPaperclip

Δ 42. Bridge

Δ 37. Main fortress
This is my original fort, with the basic necessities. It is currently only guarded by war elephants because I have invaders off. I have no idea why the trade-depot is black. - AtomicPaperclip

This is where the Hospital, Graveyard, Barracks, and dormitory is located. As well as a second dining room. - AtomicPaperclip
Δ 35. Sand!
All the bags are imported sand bags! I'm finally setting up the magma sub-fortress, which is too far down to see, to start making clear glass. For the first time I can make a semi-mega project out of imported sand! - AtomicPaperclip
¶ 32. Pit floor
This is where the impoverished above-ground farmers sub-fortress will be. It will be surrounded by water as soon as the floodgates to the drain are linked to the lever. It is designed to have a natural feel, and was created by making 10x10 block designations, and connecting them with mouse designations. Then I rounded out the squares. This is the pride and joy of my map currently. Inspired by Undergrotto. - AtomicPaperclip
Δ 31. Water filler
This is where the river will fill up the massive pit. After a bit of pressure experimentation it will only fill up to the level I want it to... hopefully. - AtomicPaperclip
Δ 30. Drain
Hopefully this works, I've never actually tried the fortification at map edge thing before. The lever is on top of the weird pyramid thing that at the moment will be inaccessible when the water is present. - AtomicPaperclip
