• Δ 114. More road
  To connect the old fort with a possible deep fort, a road is built that should be wagon passable. It might be too long for the traders to consider, if that is the case I will keep a fort upstairs.
  Might not show the top fort in later years, because not much fun will come from the overworld. Humans and Dwarves are the only civs with access to this location. - droid
• Δ 103. You see a passage going down.
  The only source of fun was the connection to the higher level of caves. And trees blocked the path. So of course we placed the guards there while the tree was knocked down, and we put cage traps in the bottleneck. - droid
• 122. Road

  ( 1055 Late Spring to onwards )
  A road to keep trees off of my trade route. The inside is rough floor and outside is smooth road. Just after I found the underground, a tree popped up to block my path (it planned to once it was older). So I widened the path so that wild underground plants can grow to the sides. - droid

• 121. Farms and grotto

  ( 1055 Late Summer to onwards )
  Stone paths allow herbalists and woodcutters access to all wild plants that grow in the grotto, and the fields generate above ground crops. So a plant should remain untouched until harvest. The underground sand is marked as restricted to keep the dwarves from pathfinding over a young tree. - droid

• 121. Aquifier crossing

  ( 1054 Late Spring to onwards )
  I used the cave in method, it is easiest because you don't have to worry about drowning. Just make sure you bring enough stone for the mechanisms to pull it off.
  
  Also gives irrigated above-ground soil automatically. - droid

• 93. Guardpost in the depths.

  ( 1055 Early Summer to onwards )
  A spot for the guards to rally if we are attacked from below. The level controls a drawbridge a few levels down that will seal the fort against most threats. The bridges on this level should be walled in to protect against flyers. Once I have a real military, they will explore this system of caves so that I can plan my fort around them.
  Based on the plant life, I think I missed a layer of caves in my exploratory mining. When I found it I got "You have found a passage downward"x2 because of the paths going upward from here. - droid

• Δ 93. Wall
  This small bit of wall protects all of this level of caves from land walking creatures. - droid
• ¶ 90. Subterranean peninsula

  ( 1056 Early Autumn to onwards )
  After the preparations of the Guardpost of the Deep, we ventured forth to map the underworld and claim what we could. And we were dissapointed but relieved to find that all sides were sealed by water, saving a small edge on the south side wich was promptly sealed. Good thing that no building destroyers can swim! (Actually, I am sure there is something that can. But its been safe so far.) - droid
