Undergrotto returns for the second-to-last time. All 98 z-levels are now uploaded, which is unfortunate, but the grotto literally goes from the very top to the very bottom level now. There's a lot more to do, but most of the main projects are completed at this point. My goal is still (as it was at Halloween when I started this) to finish before March and the new release; hopefully that's plausible. I also went back and uploaded my very first fortress, Diamondseizures, to the site earlier today - give it a look if you're bored (Undergrotto is only like my 4th fort or so).
Visual Fortress screenies here, Stonesense screenies here. For the main POIs, check the 92 Mid-Spring map; this one is only new/updated stuff.
Things still to do, ignoring stuff like 'finish furnishing _____': Make the bridge from Mountaingate into an actual bridge, Complete the palace including a grand vault, give the ship a mast/sail, and build an arena on that massive empty plateau.
I had the 12th year of the archives engraved. The most popular images were of a mule withering and dying from dehydration, a human falling off the trade depot post and exploding, lots of goblins burning, and a hydra eating elves. What a happy place.
The hammerer waits in the darkness, underneath the jail, on his hammer-shaped platform above the water.
Eventually those little 1-tile posts will all be covered with caged elves, humans, and possibly dwarves. For now there's just two elves; I probably shouldn't have sicced the hydra on the others. - Retro

You can download the compressed map file: 2010-02/retro-Undergrotto-Undergrotto-94-11695.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
