Peakedlashes - 206 Mid Summer by mattmoss

Map Description:

Many more updates... many migrants and children, increased food production, increased glass production, more nobles... with the king on the way, two sieges survived quite easily (only 3 dead)..... plenty more things. Will provide points of interest later.

Δ 30. Noble Dining Level
Individual dining rooms for five nobles, these are placed directly above the main entrance so that, when goblin sieges come, the nobles will be easily (un)protected. ;) - mattmoss
Δ 29. Come inside, come inside...
The entrance to Peakedlashes and the trade depot. Some of the walls may be replaced by fortifications for xbow dwarfs to improve defenses. - mattmoss

Things added since last update: another large furniture stockpile (mostly empty at the moment), four shops, a prison, additional farms... - mattmoss

Δ 25. The Honored Dead
Another level of common tombs has been added; altogether, only nine dwarfs have died in these halls, the last three due to goblin siege. - mattmoss
Δ 24. Offices
Two offices for nobles. One of the chairs is missing, in the process of being replaced with one of lower value (for a lesser noble), so the more valuable chair that was here can be reused (for a greater noble). - mattmoss
Δ 23. Even more glassworks...
Nine standard glass shops do nothing but collect sand for the three magma glass shops (which mostly do nothing but make green glass blocks). A lot of production whose balance has to be tweaked occasionally (because the glassworkers are very good and can make blocks very quickly). - mattmoss
Δ 23. Mayor's Office
Run this fortress right, Mayor, or we'll lower the whole thing down a Z-level. :D - mattmoss
Δ 20. Bedrooms
There are twelve cell-blocks (eight complete, four dug out and ready to be furnished/smoothed) of eight cells each, making for 96 cells. There will actually be more dwarfs on this level, as there are a good number of marriages and parents carrying babies, but since the population has grown to over 180, the floor below will be shaped similarly to accommodate the rest of the dwarfs.

Δ 18. Booze Loft
Part of the split-level dining room, dwarfs can hang out up on the balcony, socializing and getting drunk. Decorations include the skull totems you see and statues (being built) to fill in the small gaps in the booze stockpile. - mattmoss
Δ 17. Grand Dining Hall
The general dining hall is glass-walled and surrounded by magma. Plenty of good food, with a booze loft on the floor above. Captured goblins provide entertainment. - mattmoss
