Whippedmaze - 103 Early Autumn by kurry

Map Description:

This river was generated with one of the major river seeds littered on the forums (I can't remember which) Life has been pretty easy so far, with abundant veins of copper and galena.

Point of Interest: Public Housing

Just as it says, this is public housing for all dwarves. The large rooms on the inside corners are barracks. Although it's not the most efficient space in terms of pathfinding time, I find that it looks nice anyway. - kurry

I really like your "Fisherdwarves Estate" and am looking forward to checking out the new prison block, once it's complete.

Are you enabling dwarven justice? Or is it just for aesthetics?

I gave every Fisherdwarf in the fortress a nice bedroom here, I felt like they deserved it, and it reduces travel time to the fishing bridge nearby. - kurry

This is going to be food storage into the forseeable future, with most of it bought from caravans. Fish is a big part of the diet of dwarves living here as well, with the river and all. - kurry

The armory isn't so grand as of yet, but i'm hoping to improve it with time. It contains all forged weapons, armor and ammo of Whippedmaze. - kurry

My Clerk and Manager practically call this place home, and I'm planning on getting some statues in here; as well as expanding it, to show them some more respect. - kurry

This is the legendary dining hall of Whippedmaze, a little thrown together maybe, but still serves it's purpose well - kurry
Δ 13. The Forges

Not much to see here, but I've begun a (small) forging operation around the magma pipe's revealed top. Alot of dwarves have shed blood and sweat here for some great armor and bars. - kurry
Δ 13. Workshop Area
I finally decided to make some good streamlined workshops in this fortress, and it's going well (Although the space between the forges and workshop storage is a bit much) - kurry
Δ 3. Noble Housing
These rooms are hopefully going to contain every noble that walks through the gates, and so far they're working very well. A meeting hall will be dug in the near future to support expansion - kurry
Δ 3. The Dungeon Master's Grand Tomb
A project in the works to give the grandest noble that this fortress has seen a proper burial chamber, complete with running rivers of magma, and stout dwarven statues and engravings. - kurry

Δ The Founding 7 Halls
All of the founding 7 will live their lives in these rooms (Soon to be kitted out with full furniture&engravings) as well as be buried in them. Hopefully their steel will and determination will be and inspiration to all the other dwarves in Whippedmaze. - kurry
