Osor Adel, Kingdom of Water

Map Description:

My first design-centric fortress; a towering castle of natural stone, with a deep cave river winding down from the courtyard to a lake below.

Point of Interest: Temporary Main Hall

At this stage, I've finally dug down to the lake, and am ready to start creating the burrows and chambers off the cave river and its halls; that is where I will be moving the kitchens, digging out the housing that doesn't fit in the towers, and starting work on the temples.
But for now, this is the primary kitchen and secondary workshops. You can see the furniture stockpiles in all directions, and a very temporary dining hall to the north. - Tiogshi

¶ 16. Entréz
The temporary front entrance to the fortress. Later the land around will be stripped down to just above the courtyard level, although the trade depot to the north will stay where it is, a bubble of natural rock suspended high above the courtyard. - Tiogshi
Δ 16. Housing Towers
Both northern towers will house the middle-class and upper-class residences. The POI is centered on the current main housing; above you can see an empty stateroom and what will be a private statue garden, and below you can see the tower atrium (with well) and then four levels of "servants" quarters. - Tiogshi
Δ 16. Life in the Wild
The traps behind the bridge were installed just in time to take the teeth out of a goblin ambush that the current wave of merchants wiped out in moments. As this is a Dig Deeper map, though, I've got to get some thicker defenses in place if I want to keep trading with both the humans /and/ my fellow dwarves each year. - Tiogshi
Δ 15. Industry Towers
Both southern towers will house some of the trade-centric industry. This one already contains some craft and jeweller's shops up high, and the (thus far underutilized) forges down low. Both towers have magma available; I used the old filter-it-through-a-natural-fortification trick to keep the wildlife out. - Tiogshi

Δ 10. Underyard
This level will be directly below the courtyard level, and the exterior terrain level, once I get around to stripping the surrounding terrain; that way, the underground farm I've irrigated here gets to stay underground. Aboveground farming will be in a separate structure to the south, outside of the mountain, accessed via a tunnel I haven't dug out yet. - Tiogshi
