An unusual lack of strange moods prompted me to dig numerous exploratory mining tunnels, and my dwarves are now being inspired once again to produce legendary artifacts.
Early in the year 49, my beloved Stray Giant Cave Spider (Tame) died of old age. May he rest in peace. Or, rather, in pieces, since the bug that made him appear "Hostile" also allowed his corpse to be butchered. The web generation chamber has been torn down and turned into future stockpile space.
My Duke's anvil stockpile has been moved into his throne room, and will be extended into his dining room, bedroom, and tomb as necessary. Since his consort requires no throne room, her corresponding room space has been replaced with an artifact stockpile.
Construction of the pyramid is proceeding as planned. Six Z-levels have been completed, and a tunnel has been dug from below to provide a connection between the interior of the pyramid and the outside world.
( 49 Mid Winter → onwards )
One of my soldiers managed to become a Hammer Lord, then subsequently claimed an artifact crossbow when I switched her back to being a marksdwarf. Since her Hammerdwarf skill hasn't reached Legendary, she refuses to become a Champion, so each time I capture a goblin siege, I lock her in here without any bolts.
At year 65, I decided enough was enough and simply turned off her brain (and everyone else's in the fortress) so she would drop her artifact, then equipped her with a proper war hammer so she could finally spar her way to becoming a Champion. This room is now mostly unused. - Quietust

Holy crap thats cool. How are you gonna get all that magma there? construct a big pumping tower?

I'll build a pump tower extending all the way to the top of the map, then direct its output into a tube that goes down to ground level, through a short tunnel, and into an opening at the bottom of the pyramid. Pump pressure should allow it to fill all the way to the top.

That's a fantastic fortress. Do the fortifications in the tower cap farm actually drain water?

Absolutely - in fact, that's exactly why I built them.
