Daggerferal is my first fortress in to which I've sunk any appreciable level of planning.
This is one of two fortress that I've started with grand architectural ideas based on the local layout, and this time, I'm paying enough attention to the logistics of the fortress to prevent the starvation tantum spiral that ended Paintfeed.
I wasn't paying close enough attention on embark, so I don't know if I'll be meeting any goblins yet on this map. Hence the low population, and the wall slowly spreading out to encircle the map.

To prevent future cistern flooding incidents, this pressure control room was designed to limit the cistern's maximum fill height. The original stairwell was paved over, and a new access to the aqueduct was dug out on the west end of the depressurized chamber.
The ensuing test run demonstrated a further lack of foresight by Daggerferal's civic enginners, as while the system performed admirably, it was one z-level to low to fill the cistern for fishing access from the well room grates.
A second pressure control room was excavated on level 19 to solve the problem. - Njero
