Chamberwines - 204 Early Summer by apparentbliss

Map Description:

I am not sure whether or not I will continue this fortress. My soldiers, wielding obsidian swords, seem to have sliced up each other's necks while practicing -- I didn't get any wooden swords from elves early enough, and I did not (at that time) know better than to let them practice with the volcanic rock. Granted, it would be easy enough to train up a new cadre of militants, but I am prone to restart regardless.

Point of Interest: Depot entryway

One thing that I'll probably tweak next time around is the "grand entryway," with a drawbridge and a long-way-around that can involve some ballistas. - apparentbliss

Finding myself short of barrels and storage space up in the soil layer, I carved out space near the central stairway in one of my exploratory mining layers for a sort of "root cellar" style larder. Seeing how as all the barrels I had tied up in Prepared-Food-Storage were only holding one stack of food each, I made sure the fancy meals were left to sit on the ground. - apparentbliss

This is kind of cheesy, but I had never done an all-in-one bedroom before, and wanted to play around with it. - apparentbliss
