Map Description:

My latest fort! I was up to 92 dwarves, but an unfortunate accident caused us to lose 3 of them :(

This is the first fort I've ever really used machinery in, and it's been kinda useful so far. Still working on figuring out how to make my own artificial waterfall :)

Point of Interest: The Catacombs

The peasants get a simple stone coffin when they die. I've got them arranged in pods of 10 each, with a nickel statue watching over each of the rows. RIP my bearded buddies :( - DrJonez

Δ 15. Hallway of Doom
I was currently under siege when I uploaded the map, so the main entrance is sealed at the moment. Invaders have no choice but to try their chances in the Hallway of Doom! :O - DrJonez
Δ 15. Pump House
A series of water wheels provide power to all the machinery in my fort. Axles and gear assemblies run through tunnels beneath the ground to bring the power inside. There's also a pump setup here meant for pumping out the moat if the need arises. - DrJonez
¶ 15. The Golden Hammer
A picture of a hammer my dwarves made out of silver and gold. It's meant to impress the traders when they're hanging out at the nearby trade depot. - DrJonez
Δ 15. Torture Chamber
A chamber meant for drowning caged enemies. The cages are placed in the room before being hooked up to levers. The room is then locked, the prisoners released inside, and then another lever activates the machinery that fills the room with water. Once the victims have had a nice swim, another lever opens floodgates that drain the water to the outside through iron bars, hence the slightly moist exterior. - DrJonez

This entire level is pretty much just for making food and booze. - DrJonez
Δ 14. The Zoo
This series of cells is meant as an experiment with breeding animals. Just trying to see how large scale of an operation I'd need to supply the fort with meat. Also notice my Giant Eagle. I'm hoping to breed it to form an air force that I can unleash on invaders :D - DrJonez
Δ 12. Living Quarters
This entire level is taken up mostly by bedrooms for the peasants and nobles, a jail, and then a few workshops that weren't added until later on in the fort's construction. Also storage for wood and ore. - DrJonez
Δ 9. The Catacombs

Δ 9. The Vault
Iron doors and traps seal off a room filled with platinum, gold and silver bars as well as gems of all types. The engravings of cowering goblins and kobolds on the outer walls scare away possible intruders ;) - DrJonez
Δ 9. Tombs
Fancy tombs with golden coffins and engraved walls for the nobility. - DrJonez
