Sparkgear 3 - 207 Late Winter by nahkh

Map Description:

After nil's turn, July 7

Point of Interest: Nahkh's Tour - 1 - Welcome to SparkGear

(In this series of PoI's I, Nahkh, will be giving you a guided tour to the third SparkGear fortress, GearSpark the Fortress of Failure.)

We're currently standing in what is now called the Overfortress. It is the oldest part of the fort, built during the reign of Nahkh the Illustrious. It is located in the center of four fortified hills, built to assert the dominion of dwarvenkind over the neighboring orc and goblin tribes.
Here in the courtyard, in the shadow of the unfinished statue, we see some late artwork Nahkh himself. The mural beneath your feet has miraculously survived the test of time. It is truly rare to see a Nahkh original in such good condition; his artwork is a favorite victim of vandals of various types.
Now, if you'll step up here we will take a closer look at the statue. - Nahkh_

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

Hey, do those fortifications work as drains over at your farms?

Submitted by: Nahkh_ - 2009-07-10 to 209 Early Spring

"The magma fortress" should of course be "The magma forges

Lies!

Demonic Spoon, while I appreciate the enthusiasm, if you're just asking about what something does do so on the board or here in the comments instead of cluttering the PoIs too much. (Also, marking something obvious like the farms isn't exactly necessary either)

That PoI on the farms is very necessary. How are we supposed to know what those farms are for?

Submitted by: Demonic Spoon - 2009-07-11 to 209 Early Spring

Exactly

I appreciate the lengthy documentation! I think some extra buttons are in order, [previous poi] [next poi] to make it easier to navigate forward and back from the list.

It's not done yet, if I get another turn I'll do the other half.

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-07/_nil_-Gearspark the Fortre-SG3-207-37879.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
