-SparkGear2 - 305 Late Autumn by eerr

Map Description:

This is part of the SparkGear 2 succession game

eerr's year. Population 135 (wtf?)

Highlights from his summary as written here:
Brak Obama elected mayor!

Adamantine fight attempt- no. 1(no dwarf casualties)
I unleashed cages of goblins from previous sieges. They all died of burning to the first demon.

A brand new unplaced artifact obsidian table lies in wait, as well as another lame ass wood amulet(woodcrafters=weak).

Rebuilding the (mandrill) powered spike trap system; incomplete, the 10 spikes on the left are halfway connected, the rest need it setting.

The giant worm thing (underground river) is almost completely clear of stone.

once again, I failed to notice we don't actually have a skilled armour smith untill halfway in, with a magma forge set to "normal" nobody produces armour! Not even the guy named armorer.

new champion wrestling squad! populated from useless legendary woodcrafters, immigrants, and a somewhat useful legendary engraver.

Caught Brak obama crossdressing!, with a X pigtail dress X no less!
The dwarves don't seem dismayed, or they can't tell the diffrence between a woman and a man anyway.

Point of Interest: One last demon

Someone should probably take care of that. There's a fair bit of adamantium at stake.

Scratch that, there's still at least 5 demons down there. - crash2455

Who gets to open the floodgates to the river?

Where's the spare water going to?

We're going to carve fortifications adjacent to the level edge. Fake chasm, coming right up.

I can't see wanting to open up that river, the FPS drop would be too much trouble for it to be worthwhile.

That's the entire point of the river! It will force us to a new site!(I don't like these non infinite sources of magma at all)

Infinite magma's just too easy, though. I managed to create a map-wide magma moat while only scratching the surface of our magma supply.

Also, you could still do your magma curtain with this, since it basically recycles magma.

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-06/crash2455-Sparkgear the Balls -SparkGear2-305-28471.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
