Map Description:

9 months later, the Tower has opened up! Quite a lot was done last Winter.

Point of Interest: Noble execution device

During the Tower's construction, two pumps moving water into the chasm were built in order to quickly dry the Tower's water supply channel in case modification is needed. They never saw any use, but after removing the fortification to the chasm and adding a lever at the end, they became an excellent noble flushing device. The old Duchess and consort were its first test subjects. The new couple mandates puzzleboxes and battle axes - much easier to fulfill. - NFossil

This is a very nice fort. One criticism though, you misspelled "unfortunately". ;)

Δ 20. Apatosaurus!
Got this beast from this spring's elven caravan, now it lives in the Tower's meeting hall. Praise dwarven architecture!

Δ 18. Skeletal sasquatch!
Jyyoniuukyjufyda, "Splitsad"
She single-handedly took out a sand raider (civ forge mod) ambush squad, losing her left arm, right hand, lower right leg and have a yellow upper body. If this was a dwarf I would have built a nice tomb. If she dies while on site I will have my craftsmaster make a totem out of her skill and encrust it with whatever, then keep it in my artifact room.
I guess I should trap some skeletal trolls from the chasm to make a death pit. - NFossil
Δ 17. Tower - New barracks
Out of fear that sparring dwarves may fall into the waterfall shaft, I moved the barracks to the trade tower, accessible only from the defense ring. The armor stand is an artifact with an image of the ascension of our dwarf civ's third ruler. - NFossil
Δ 16. Pillboxes
Several small towers like this were built starting from 217 winter. Sealed above and accessible only from an underground tunnel system extending out from the old underground fortress, they are excellent positions for the marksdwarves, but we currently don't have enough people to station them all at once. - NFossil
¶ 15. Tower - Ground level
Ground-level walls are taken down, and the trade depot was finally put into use. Trade with four caravans duing 218 spring and summer took part in complete protection from the outside world by walls and raised drawbridges, with marksdwarves watching on the defense ring. - NFossil

Well, I first tried to drop them into the chasm via bridge or hit them with the catapult. The former would take a lot of trial error and the second simply didn't work, so it was abandoned. - NFossil

Δ 9. Tower - Farms
The new farm plots are now in use! We now grow rat weed, prickle berries, wild strawberries, whip wines and blade weeds. The tower-cap farm provides occasional taste of underground plants. - NFossil
